Rebecca Cox - About me
I am a graduate sports therapist and MSc strength and conditioning coach. I graduated in 2018 and have been working as a sports therapist since then as well as studying my masters degree to developed my rehabilitation knowledge.
As a sports therapist my aim is to prevent and rehabilitate injuries to ensure my clients have optimal functional, occupational and sports specific fitness. I also specialise in deep tissue sports massage.
I have worked in a range of environments bringing me a wealth of experience. I have worked in men's and women's Semi professional football, grass roots clubs, colleges, with private clients both and in a chiropractor clinic.
My qualifications and accreditation to The Society of Sports Therapists allows me to work with clients covering private health care, referrals and insurance related cases.
As a graduate sports therapist my competencies include recognition & evaluation, management, treatment, rehabilitation and referral of both health conditions and injuries in and out of sport.
My experience in sports has allowed me to deal with injuries from the time of trauma all the way through to the return to play, and my experience within private work; plus support in a chiropractic clinic has allowed me to deal with a range of health conditions to ensure a better quality of life for all my clients.
Sports & Injury Assessment
You initial assessment for injury or sports injury will involve - Consultation assessment, treatment and rehabilitation plan of your injuries.
Sports & Injury Follow up
Will include general update on progress, treatment, Plan revision if needed.
Some injuries that I often treat but not limited to include:
- Lower back pain
- Sciatic pain
- Neck pain
- Ligament sprains
- Joint dislocations
- Muscle strains/ruptures
- Post fracture rehabilitation
- General aches and pains
